Airport & Transportation to Downtown

Just 20 minutes from downtown, Portland International Airport (PDX) has earned awards for demonstrating that large-scale airports can be both functional and aesthetically pleasing. Currently 17 passenger airlines serve PDX, with direct and non stop service to more than 100 cities worldwide.

The TriMet MAX Red Line light rail service runs from PDX to downtown Portland every 15 minutes. A one-way trip from the airport to downtown Portland takes 38 minutes and 10 stops (Downtown Stop: Pioneer Square South MAX Station). Purchase tickets from automated ticket machines located in the airport lobby near baggage claim as well as on the MAX station platform. (Light rail cost: US$2.40 / Taxi cost: US$35.00)
