About the Workshop

This complimentary workshop provides insights into the history and evolution of ecotourism, as well as development of sustainable tourism practices, and offers an opportunity for participants to strengthen their knowledge of the principles on ecotourism and sustainable tourism, and to gain a better understanding of the context in which the ESTC is taking place. Presentation topics include key milestones in the development of ecotourism and sustainable tourism, fundamental pillars of ecotourism, current trends and issues and certification programs.


Workshop participants will also have the opportunity to interact with and ask questions to ecotourism industry practitioners and sustainable tourism experts.
