ESTC 2012 Registration Fees

*Member: TIES active organizational and professional members can register at the Member rate. The discounted conference registration is not available to TIES Traveler members.
*Student: Student rate is only available to students who are enrolled in a University or College at the time of the conference. An official student identification card will be required during conference check-in. If you fail to present proper identification proving your student status you will be charged the full conference registration fee, and will not be eligible for any refund.
*Day Pass: Day passes don't include a ticket to the Sustainable Culinary Showcase.

Secure Registration Pages
| In today's world, for better or worse, security issues are at the forefront of our thoughts. The ESTC conference website is secured by certificates with up to 256 bit encryption thereby offering the highest level of encryption and security possible. This means you can rest assured that communications between your browser and this site's web servers are private and secure. Credit Card information will not be stored by the website. Accepted Payment Forms?
Credit Card: The Online Registration Form accepts Visa, Discover, Amex and MasterCard credit cards.
Check: If you would like to register by check, download the ESTC 2012 Offline Registration Form (opens in new window) and mail the completed form along with the check to the address indicated on the form.
Wire Transfer: For international wire transfers, please download the ESTC 2012 Offline Registration From, indicate on the form that you are paying by wire transfer, and email or fax the completed form to the address indicated on the form. We will contact you with further wire transfer instructions at the email indicated on the form. Please note that there will be a $20 wire transfer processing fee added to your total registration amount.
Cash: Cash payments are possible only on-site.
What is included in the conference price?
Registration fees include attendance for all sessions from September 17th through September 19th, conference materials, food and beverage during the conference (breaks and lunches), opening reception, field sessions, and the closing reception.
How do I become a TIES member?
Please visit our membership page on the TIES website for detailed information on the membership levels and benefits, and to fill out the membership application form.
What is the Registration Cancellation Policy?
Cancellation and refund requests received in writing by August 18, 2012 are subject to a $100 administrative fee. Please send your request to fax +1 202 789 7279 or e-mail estcreg[at]ecotourism.org. No refunds will be granted for cancellations received after August 18, 2012. Substitutions are accepted any time prior to the start of the program at no additional cost.
Do I need a Travel Visa?
If you are traveling to the conference from outside the United States, you may need a visa to enter the country. You will find more information on the visa application process on our Travel Visa website.
Will my registration cost be refunded if my visa application is denied?
If you are unable to attend the conference because your visa was denied, your registration fee will be refunded in full upon receipt of the official receipt of verification of denial by the embassy, minus a US$50 admin fee.
For registration cancelations without the official receipt of verification of denial by the embassy, the regular cancelation policy is applied. Do you offer student discounts?
Yes, TIES is committed to supporting students engaged in higher education in the field of ecotourism and sustainable tourism. To encourage students to take advantage of the learning and networking opportunities through the ESTC 2012, TIES offers a discounted registration for students. To be able to register at the student rate, you will need to be able to provide proof of being enrolled in a university or college program at the time of the conference (not registration). For student group discounts, please contact estcreg[at]ecotourism.org.
Are accommodations included in the conference price?
The registration fee does not include hotel accommodations. However, we do have a special conference discounted rate at Portola Hotel & Spa. When making your reservations, please mention you will be staying for the Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference (ESTC 2012) and the conference rate will be extended to you.
