The Ecotourism and Sustainable Tourism Conference 2008 will utilize innovative multi-stakeholder strategies to implement sustainable change for bio-cultural conservation.

ESTC 2008 Goals

• To expand and empower the networks of ecotourism and sustainable tourism professionals and practitioners and empower them with innovative strategies for change.

• To advance ecotourism and sustainable tourism policy development at multiple levels of government.

• To promote effective change for environmentally and economically sustainable community development by utilizing best practice examples and lessons learned.

• To engage Native American and First Nation peoples as business leaders and environmental stewards in the sustainable growth of the tourism sector.

• To actively promote change in industry practices to combat climate change and other threats to bio-cultural diversity.
